Day 143/365: 20’s hair
I have a whole lot of photos of girls’ hairstyles from the 1920s so I will likely do more of these!
(I also secretly use Instagram but only to take photos of cats)
Sketched out some new character designs for a personal animation project! I was having the hardest time deciding what to do with my two protagonists, and then they just appeared in my head today after reading some interesting tidbits about the animation industry today. They’re still based on my other designs, but after I changed their races, I can see their personalities so much more clearly now. It tells the story that I want to tell so much better.
(Pay no attention to the dinosaur in the corner, he’s a little plushie that my sister got for me in Guatemala. He’s not in this story)
Nā Mokulua are two little islands that live off the coast near my house. The name literally means “the two islands” and they’re referred to as “the mokes” by most locals. Since they are a bird sanctuary, visitors cannot visit the smaller one (“moku iki”) and you can’t walk on certain parts of the larger one (“moku nui”).
